FWC Rules Gig Worker an Employee

Breaking News: Delivery driver Diego Franco has won his case for unfair dismissal against Deliveroo.

The *big* news is that Mr Franco was found to be an Employee, despite Deliveroo saying he was an Independent Contractor. A big reason why was because the company's algorithms and platform dictated which jobs he was given and when, effectively controlling his behaviour.
